Rename Pro

A fresh name. The same file.
Batch rename, preview every change, and download your copies.

Your files stay on your device. Rename Pro processes them locally in your browser.

Quick start: Choose or drop files, pick your rename rules, check the new names in the preview, then download. You get renamed copies; a browser can’t rename your original files in place.

01 / Bring your files

Drop files here.

Or choose a few to get started. Your originals stay exactly as they are.

02 / Make it yours

Rename rules

Use any mix of rules. The preview updates as you type.

Keeps the final extension, including its case: my.photo.final.JPG → .JPG

Remove invalid characters, collapse whitespace, and trim spaces and dots from the name.

Rules apply top to bottom. Text matching is literal and case-sensitive. Numbers are appended as _001 in the preview order; added files go last.

03 / Check & download

Before → After

0 files

No files yet.

Choose or drop files above, and each new name will appear here.
Nothing changes until you download copies.

Details

This is the browser experiment. You can use it here without installing anything.

Browsers limit what a website can access on your computer, so some features may be unavailable here. A desktop version can usually work more directly with your files, folders, devices, or operating system.

Browser

  • Quick renaming without installing anything
  • Choose or drop files
  • Preview changes
  • Download renamed copies

Desktop

  • Work directly with folders
  • Rename files in place
  • Larger workflows
  • History and Undo
  • Deeper filesystem access

This first browser experiment keeps originals untouched. ZIP downloads are prepared in memory; use smaller batches for large files. Presets and history are not included.

How this browser version works

  • Downloads renamed copies; original files stay untouched.
  • ZIP batches are limited to 250 MB and 1,000 files.
  • No folder access, presets, or history in this browser experiment.

What a desktop version could offer

  • Work directly with folders and rename files in place.
  • Larger workflows, History and Undo, and deeper filesystem access.
